Our story
Alder & Main is a two-person workshop on Portland’s east side. We started in 2004 with a table saw and a simple idea: measure twice, build things people keep. Today we design and build cabinetry, trim and outdoor structures for homes across the metro area.
Every project gets the same treatment: a clear written quote, honest timelines, dust sheets everywhere, and joinery we are happy to put our name on. We are fully licensed and insured, and most of our work comes from referrals.
★★★★★“They rebuilt our 1920s window casings and you cannot tell old from new. Tidy, on time, and the quote was exactly what we paid.”
★★★★★“The built-in bookcase is the best thing in our house. Careful work, great communication from the first visit.”
★★★★★“Our kitchen cabinets were designed around an awkward chimney corner and they fit perfectly. Highly recommended.”
